As an LSV-compliant electric UTV, it meets federal safety standards including headlights, tail lights, turn signals, mirrors, seat belts and a Vehicle Identification Number. Street legality may vary by state and municipality, so check your local regulations. No special license is required to operate this electric UTV on public roads where LSVs are permitted.
The GEM eX electric UTV has a top speed of 25 mph, engineered for low-speed vehicle compliance and job site safety. This speed can be adjusted downward by your GEM dealer for specific site compliance requirements. The 25 mph maximum ensures this electric UTV meets federal LSV standards while providing safe operation in work environments and neighborhoods.
The GEM eX electric UTV offers flexible charging options with 120-volt, 240-volt and J1772 connections. Standard charging cables with 120-volt and 240-volt plugs come included with your electric UTV. You can also use standard J1772 EVSE cables from automotive or public charging stations by plugging directly into the GEM eX charging port.

This electric UTV features Waev’s proprietary lithium-ion technology with a heated and insulated battery pack that maintains performance in extreme temperatures. Optional winter tires provide enhanced cold weather traction, working alongside the standard limited slip rear differential system for superior winter capability.
No special license is required to operate the GEM eX electric UTV. As a low-speed vehicle, it can be driven with a standard driver’s license on roads where LSVs are permitted (typically 35 mph or less). Some jurisdictions may have additional requirements, so check your local regulations.
