Electric Vehicle Incentives

Electric vehicle tax credits, EV rebates, EV incentives and other benefits are available for electric vehicle owners. GEMs are a smart choice for the environment, your community and your wallet. In addition to saving on maintenance and fuel costs, you may be eligible for electric car incentives or charging infrastructure rebates. Many states, municipalities and utility companies have introduced electric vehicle incentives to help consumers and businesses make the transition to EVs.

    • Alabama Power (EV Home Charger Rebate): Alabama Power offers residential customers a one-time $500 rebate for the purchase and installation of one Level 2 (240V) charger at a single-family home.

    • Chugach Electric Association (CEA): Chugach Electric Association (CEA) provides eligible residential customers a $200 bill credit per residential EV charging station, up to two per household, for sharing information on EVs, EV charging stations, and average miles driven per year.

    • Chugach Electric Association (CEA): Chugach Electric Association (CEA) provides eligible commercial customers a rebate of up to $1,000 per Level 2 EV charging station; up to $2,000 per location.

  • Parking Benefit 
    • State of Arizona: An individual driving a dedicated AFV may park without penalty in parking areas that are designated for carpool operators, provided the vehicle is using alternative fuel. Recognized alternative fuels include propane, natural gas, electricity, hydrogen, and a blend of hydrogen with propane or natural gas. 
  • Utility Bill Credit  
    • Arizona Public Service Company (APS): Arizona Public Service Company (APS) offers residential customers who enroll in the APS Smart Charge Program can earn up to $85 in bill credit every year. Eligible customers own or lease a plug-in electric vehicle and are an APS customer that typically charges their vehicle within the APS service territory. 
  • Charging Infrastructure 
    • Mohave Electric Cooperative (MEH): Mohave Electric Cooperative (MEH) offers residential customers rebates for the purchase of networked Level 2 charging stations. Residential customers are eligible for rebates of up to $1,000 or no more than ½ of the price of installing the charger. 
    • Salt River Project: Salt River Project offers a rebate for the purchase of a qualifying Level 2 EV charging station.  
    • Tucson Electric Power (TEP): Tucson Electric Power (TEP) offers residential customers a rebate of up to $500 for the purchase of a Level 2 or direct current fast charging (DCFC) station.

    • Arizona Public Service Company (APS): Arizona Public Service Company (APS) offers free EV charging stations, installation, maintenance, and educational services to its workplace, fleet, and multi-unit dwelling customers through the Take Charge AZ pilot program. 
    • Mohave Electric Cooperative (MEH): Mohave Electric Cooperative (MEH) offers commercial customers rebates for the purchase of networked Level 2 charging stations. Commercial customers are eligible for rebates of up to $2,750 or no more than ½ of the price of installing the charger.   
    • Salt River Project (SRP): Salt River Project (SRP) offers rebates to commercial customers who install networked Level 2 charging stations. Government, non-profit, school, and multifamily customers are eligible for higher rebate amounts.  
    • Tucson Electric Power (TEP): Tucson Electric Power (TEP) offers rebates and technical support to businesses, multifamily dwellings, and non-profit customers that purchase and install between two to six EV charging station ports. Higher rebates are available for commercial customers located in low-income areas.

  • Electric Vehicle Rebate
    • C. Go Electric Rebates Program: The BC Go Electric Vehicle Rebates offers individual customers up to a $5,000 rebate for the purchase of qualified electric vehicles. The exact rebate amount will be calculated using the MSRP. Individuals applying for the rebate must live in B.C., possess a valid B.C. driver’s license, and meet the income requirements in place at the time which they apply.

    • C. Go Electric Rebates Program: The BC Go Electric Vehicle Rebates offers commercial customers a rebate for the purchase of qualified electric vehicles. Businesses, non-profit organizations, or governmental organizations must be based in B.C. and, in the case of businesses, possess a valid operating license.

    • Central Coast Community Energy (CCCE): Central Coast Community Energy (CCCE) offers rebates of up to $4,000 to residential customers for the purchase of new or used EVs or electric motorcycles. 
    • Silicon Valley Power (SVP): Silicon Valley Power (SVP) offers low-income residential customers a $1,500 rebate for the purchase of an EV.  
    • Turlock Irrigation District (TID): Turlock Irrigation District (TID) offers residential customers a $500 rebate for the purchase or lease of a qualifying new or used EV. Low-income customers enrolled in the TID CARES Program are eligible for an additional rebate of $700 per vehicle. 
  • Electric Vehicle Grant  
    • The Bay Area Air Quality Management District’s (BAAQMD): The Bay Area Air Quality Management District’s (BAAQMD) Clean Cars for All program offers grants up to $9,500 to income-eligible residents to replace a vehicle eligible for retirement with an electric vehicle. Eligible residents may also use grant to buy e-bike or public transit card.  
  • Discounted Utility Rate 
    • Alameda Municipal Power (AMP): Alameda Municipal Power (AMP) offers a discounted rate to customers for electricity used to charge EVs. Must provide VIN and registration. 
    • Burbank Water and Power (BWP): Burbank Water and Power (BWP) offers a discounted rate to residential or multi-family customers for electricity used to charge EVs. Customers must remain on the EV time-of-use rate for a minimum of one year.  
    • Glendale Water and Power: Glendale Water and Power offers monthly incentive of $8 for customers who charge EV during off-peak hours.  
    • Liberty Utilities: Liberty Utilities offers residential and commercial customers TOU rates for charging EVs after installing a qualified level 2 charger. 
    • Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E): Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) offers discounted rates for electricity used for EV charging during off-peak hours.  
    • Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD): Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) customers can receive a 1.5¢ discount on all electric usage between midnight and 6 AM. For a SMUD account to receive this EV rate credit, a plug-in electric vehicle must be registered with the DMV using the same service address as the SMUD account. 
    • San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E): San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) offers discounted rates based on time-of-use to residential customers with EVs. 
    • Southern California Edison (SCE): Southern California Edison (SCE) offers a discounted rate to customers for electricity used to charge EVs. 
  • Charging Infrastructure 
    • Liberty Utilities: Liberty Utilities offers residential customers a rebate of $1,500 for the purchase and installation of EV charging stations at their home. 
    • The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP): The Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) offers a rebate of up to $500 for the purchase and installation of qualified Level 2 EV charging stations, and a $250 rebate for the installation of a dedicated EV charging station meter. 
    • Silicon Valley Power (SVP): Silicon Valley Power (SVP) offers rebates up to $500 for the purchase and installation of Level 2 EV charging stations to residential customers, who may also receive a rebate of up to $1,000 to upgrade their electric panel to accommodate a Level 2 EV charger. Low-income residents may receive increased rebate amounts. 
    • The South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD): The South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) and the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee’s (MSRC) Residential EV Charging Incentive Pilot Program offers rebates of up to $250 towards the purchase of a qualified residential Level 2 EV charging station. Additional rebates of up to $250 are available for low-income residents. 
    • Turlock Irrigation District (TID): Turlock Irrigation District (TID) offers residential customers a $300 rebate for the installation of a qualifying Level 2 EV charging station. Low-income customers enrolled in the TID CARES Program are eligible for an additional rebate of $100 per charger. 
    • Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E): Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E) offers residential customers rebates of up to $500 for a Level 2 EV charging station and $2,000 for electric panel upgrades necessary to support the EV charging station. Eligible participants must meet household income requirements.

  • Electric Vehicle Rebate 
    • Central Coast Community Energy (CCCE): Central Coast Community Energy (CCCE) offers rebates of up to $4,000 to commercial and public agency customers for the purchase of new or used EVs or electric motorcycles. 
    • Turlock Irrigation District: Turlock Irrigation District (TID) is offering a rebate of $500 per light-duty vehicle on the lease/purchase of a new or used zero-emission, plug-in battery electric vehicle for your business. 
  • Charging Infrastructure 
    • Charging Infrastructure: Liberty Utilities offers commercial customers a rebate of $2,500 for the purchase and installation of EV charging stations at their small business.  
    • Northern California Incentive Project: The Northern California Incentive Project, funded by the California Energy Commission as part of the California Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Project (CALeVIP), offers rebates for charging sites to businesses, California Native American Tribes listed with the Native American Heritage Commission, or government entities. Qualifying installation sites must be located in Humboldt, Shasta, or Tehama County. DCFC station installations must be publicly accessible 24 hours a day. 
    • San Joaquin Valley Incentive Project: The San Joaquin Valley Incentive Project, funded by the California Energy Commission as part of the California Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Project (CALeVIP), offers rebates for charging sites to businesses, California Native American Tribes listed with the Native American Heritage Commission, or government entities. Qualifying installation sites must be located in Fresno, Kern, or San Joaquin County. DCFC station installations must be publicly accessible 24 hours a day. 
    • Inland Counties Incentive Project: The Inland Counties Incentive Project, funded by the California Energy Commission as part of the California Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Project (CALeVIP), offers rebates for charging sites to businesses, California Native American Tribes listed with the Native American Heritage Commission, or government entities. Qualifying installation sites must be located in Butte, El Dorado, Imperial, Kings, Merced, Napa, Nevada, Placer, Solano, Stanislaus, Sutter, Tulare, or Yolo County. DCFC station installations must be publicly accessible 24 hours a day. 
    • Peninsula-Silicon Valley Incentive Project: The Peninsula-Silicon Valley Incentive Project, funded by the California Energy Commission as part of the California Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Project (CALeVIP), offers rebates for charging sites to businesses, California Native American Tribes listed with the Native American Heritage Commission, or government entities. Qualifying installation sites must be located in San Mateo or Santa Clara County. DCFC station installations must be publicly accessible 24 hours a day. 
    • San Diego County Incentive Project: The San Diego County Incentive Project, funded by the California Energy Commission as part of the California Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Project (CALeVIP), offers rebates for charging sites to businesses, California Native American Tribes listed with the Native American Heritage Commission, or government entities. Qualifying installation sites must be located in San Diego County. DCFC station installations must be publicly accessible 24 hours a day. 
    • Sonoma Coast Incentive Project: The Sonoma Coast Incentive Project, funded by the California Energy Commission as part of the California Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Project (CALeVIP), offers rebates for charging sites to businesses, California Native American Tribes listed with the Native American Heritage Commission, or government entities. Qualifying installation sites must be located in Sonoma or Mendocino County. DCFC station installations must be publicly accessible 24 hours a day. 
    • Alameda County Incentive Project: The Alameda County Incentive Project, funded by the California Energy Commission as part of the California Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Project (CALeVIP), offers rebates for charging sites to businesses, California Native American Tribes listed with the Native American Heritage Commission, or government entities. Qualifying installation sites must be located in Alameda County. DCFC station installations must be publicly accessible 24 hours a day. No longer accepting applications.

    • San Isabel Electric Association (SIEA): San Isabel Electric Association (SIEA) offers customers rebates for the purchase and installation of Level 2 and direct current fast charging (DCFC) stations. 
    • Gunnison County Electric Association (GCEA): Gunnison County Electric Association (GCEA) offers rebates to residential customers for the purchase of Level 2 EV charging station. Eligible customers may receive a rebate for 50% of the cost to purchase and install an EV charging station, up to $1,250. Customers must sign up for the residential time-of-use rate (TOU) to qualify for the rebate. 
    • Black Hills Energy: Black Hills Energy offers residential customers a $500 rebate for the purchase and installation of a Level 2 EV charging station. Low-income residents are eligible for a rebate of up to $1,300.  
    • Holy Cross Electric (HCE): Holy Cross Electric (HCE) offers free or discounted EV charging stations for residential customers. 
    • Xcel Energy: Xcel Energy offers residential customers a rebate of up to $500 for the purchase and installation of a qualified Level 2 EV charging station. Income-qualified residents may receive up to $1,300. To be eligible, customers must also enroll in a TOU rate.

    • Black Hills Energy: Black Hills Energy offers rebates of up to $2,000 to non-residential customers for the purchase and installation of Level 2 charging stations. 
    • Colorado Springs Utilities (CSU): Colorado Springs Utilities (CSU) offers commercial customers rebates for the purchase and installation of EV charging stations. Workplaces and fleets may receive up to $1,200 per Level 2 EV charging station port, and multi-unit dwellings may receive up to $1,600 per Level 2 EV charging station port.

    • Norwich Public Utilities (NPU): Norwich Public Utilities (NPU) offers rebates eligible customers for the purchase or lease of a new or previously owned EV. Rebate amount is up to $1,500 for a new EV. Vehicle must be purchased from a licensed car dealership.  
  • Discounted Utility Rate 
    • Eversource: Eversource offers residential customers rewards of up to $300 the first year they enroll in a charging program where they use less energy during periods of high demand. 
  • Charging Infrastructure 
    • Eversource: Eversource offers residential customers a rebate of up to $1,000 ($500 for charger; $500 for wiring upgrade) for the purchase and installation of a qualified Level 2 EV charging station. 
    • Norwich Public Utilities (NPU): Norwich Public Utilities (NPU) offers rebates eligible customers for the purchase and installation of a qualified EV charging station.

  • Discounted Utility Rate 
    • Delmarva Power: Delmarva Power offers a time-of-use rate option to residential customers that own EVs.  
    • Delaware Electric Cooperative (DEC): Delaware Electric Cooperative (DEC) offers a one-time $200 bill credit and an additional $5 monthly bill credit to customers if they do not charge their EVs during Beat the Peak alerts. To receive the credit, customers must have a ChargePoint Home electric vehicle charger that is connected to WIFI. 

Consumer Incentives 

  • Tax Exemptions/Reduced Fees 
    • District of Columbia: A new motor vehicle with a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency estimated average city fuel economy of at least 40 miles per gallon is eligible for a reduced vehicle registration fee of $36.  
    • District of Columbia: EVs are exempt from the excise tax imposed on an original certificate of title. The original purchaser and subsequent purchasers of the same vehicle are eligible for the excise tax exemption. 
  • Parking Benefit  
    • District of Columbia: District of Columbia residents that own or lease EVs may utilize curbside charging if they do not have designated off-street parking. Residents are not required to obtain a public space permit for curbside charging, but they must follow the District of Columbia Department of Transportation’s (DDOT) EV Charging Cord Guidance for Crossing the Public Right-Of-Way (linked). 
  • Discounted Utility Rate 
    • Pepco: Pepco offers a TOU rate to residential customers that own or lease EVs with an electric range of greater than 30 miles. 
  • Charging Infrastructure 
    • District of Columbia: The Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Credit is a credit of 50% of the allowable costs for the purchase and installation of an alternative fuel storage and dispensing or charging station at a private residence. The maximum credit is $1,000 per residential electric vehicle charging station 

Commercial Incentives 

  • Exemption 
    • District of Columbia: Certified clean fuel vehicles are exempt from time-of-day and day-of-week restrictions and commercial vehicle bans if the vehicles are part of a fleet that operates at least 10 vehicles in the District of Columbia.

    • Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA): Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) provides rebates of $100 to residential customers for the purchase of a new EV and $100 for the purchase and installation of a home EV charging station. 
  • Discounted Utility Rate 
    • Jacksonville Electric Authority (JEA): Jacksonville Electric Authority (JEA) offers residential customers with Level 2 EV charging station an incentive of up to $7 per month to encourage EV charging station use during off-peak hours.

    • Tampa Electric Company (TECO): TECO’s Drive Smart Program offers business customers a rebate of up to $5,000 per port for the purchase and installation of public EV charging stations. Eligible project locations include workplace, public or retail, multi-unit dwelling, income-qualified, and government sites. 
    • Jacksonville Electric Authority (JEA): Jacksonville Electric Authority (JEA) offers commercial customers rebates for the purchase of EV charging stations. 
    • Duke Energy: Duke Energy offers rebates to commercial customers for the installation of Level 2 and direct current fast charging (DCFC) stations. Rebate amounts vary by EV charging station technology and applicant type. 
    • Brickell Energy: Brickell Energy’s aFLoat Program offers two different incentives: (1) the aFLoat Host Agreement will cover the cost of hardware, network service plans, management service, and warranties. Eligible hosts include commercial real estate property owners and managers. Hosts must cover the cost of installation. (2) The aFLoat Rental Plan offers public and commercial locations, the EV charging station hardware, network service plan, management service, and warranties at a reduced fee.

    • Georgia Power: Georgia Power offers a TOU rate for residential customers who own an EV. Eligible customers must own a smart meter capable of separately measuring EV charger usage. 

Commercial Incentives  

  • Tax Credit 
    • Georgia Environmental Protection Division: An eligible business enterprise may claim an income tax credit for the purchase and installation of qualified EV charging station. The EV charging station must be located in Georgia and accessible to the public. The tax credit is for 10% of the cost of the EV charging station, up to $2,500.

    • Hawaiian Electric Company: Hawaiian Electric Company and its subsidiaries, Maui Electric Company and Hawaii Electric Light Company, offer time-of-use (TOU) rates for residential customers. The TOU rates are available to customers on Oahu, Molokai, Maui, and Hawaii Island. 

Commercial Incentives 

  • Discounted Utility Rate 
    • Hawaiian Electric Company: Hawaiian Electric Company and its subsidiaries, Maui Electric Company and Hawaii Electric Light Company, offer time-of-use (TOU) rates for  multifamily dwelling, electric bus fleet facility, and commercial customers. The TOU rates are available to customers on Oahu, Molokai, Maui, and Hawaii Island. 
  • Charging Infrastructure 
    • Hawaii Energy: Hawaii Energy administers the EV Charging Station rebate program on behalf of the Hawaii Public Utilities Commission, which offers rebates to commercial entities, workplaces, and multifamily dwellings for the installation of Level 2 and direct current fast charging (DCFC) stations.   • Annual Fee Exemption  
    • Fee Exemption for Neighborhood Electric Vehicles: In addition to standard registration fees, all-electric vehicle owners must pay an annual fee of $140 and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle owners must pay an annual fee of $75. Neighborhood electric vehicles are exempt from the fee.

    • Ameren Illinois: Ameren Illinois offers a TOU rate to residential customers that own or lease an EV. Eligible customers live in a single-family home, such as a house or a condo, and charge an electric vehicle at that location.

    • Applied Energy Services (AES): Applied Energy Services (AES) Indiana offers a TOU rate to residential customers who own a licensed EV. 
    • Indiana Michigan Power: Indiana Michigan Power (IMP) offers a TOU rate to residential customers who own a qualified EV. Indiana Michigan Power may require customers to have or to install a metering system that is capable of separately tracking EV charging. Residential customers that enroll in the EV TOU rate may also be eligible for a $500 rebate for the purchase of a Level 2 EV charging station or for the pre-wiring necessary to support a Level 2 EV charging station. 
  • Charging Infrastructure 
    • Applied Energy Services (AES): Applied Energy Services (AES) Indiana offers residential customers a $250 rebate for the purchase of a new Level 2 EV charging station. Customers must enroll in a managed charging program. 
    • Duke Energy: Duke Energy offers residential customers the option to rent a Level 2 EV charger for their home and pay a flat rate each month for that charger. 

Commercial Incentives  

  • Charging Infrastructure 
    • Indiana Michigan Power: Indiana Michigan Power (IMP) offers commercial, fleet, and multi-unit dwelling customers a rebate of $250 per Level 2 EV charging station port installed. Small-commercial customers who average less than 4,500 kWh per month of electricity are eligible for $500 incentive and a discounted off-peak rate up to a 40% reduction from the standard rate. 
    • Indiana Michigan Power: Indiana Michigan Power (IMP) offers a TOU rate to small commercial customers that own an EV. Small commercial customers that enroll in the EV TOU rate may also be eligible for a $500 rebate for the purchase of a Level 2 EV charging station or for the pre-wiring necessary to support a Level 2 EV charging station. 
    • Duke Energy: Duke Energy offers rebates to commercial customers for the installation of Level 2 EV charging stations at workplaces, multi-unit dwellings, fleets, or publicly available locations. Alternatively, customers can rent a Level 2 or DC Fast EV charger for their business and pay a flat rate each month for that charger.

    • Evergy: Evergy offers customers an EV time-of-use rate. 
  • Charging Infrastructure 
    • Evergy: Evergy offers residential customers a $250 rebate for the purchase of a Level 2 EV Charger and offers an additional $250 rebate when customers sign up for an EV TOU rate. 

Commercial Incentives

    • State of Kansas: For Corporations subject to Kansas corporate income tax, an income tax credit is available for 40% of the incremental or conversion cost for qualified AFVs (alternative fuel vehicles) (up to $2400 for AFVs less than 10,000 pounds).  
    • Evergy: Evergy offers rebates to commercial and multifamily customers for the purchase and installation of EV charging stations. Customers may receive rebates of up to $2,500 per Level 2 EV charging station port.

    • SWEPCO: SWEPCO offers residential customers a $250 rebate for the installation of an ENERGY STAR certified Level 2 EV charging station.  
    • Qualified Entergy: Qualified Entergy customers are eligible to receive $250 for the purchase of a Level 2 EV charging station.

    • State of Maine: Low-speed vehicles are exempt from annual state vehicle inspections. Low-speed vehicles must be registered, carry a special license plate, and meet specified state and federal safety equipment requirements. Additional restrictions may apply.

    • Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE): Baltimore Gas and Electric Company (BGE) offers time-of-use (TOU) rate for residential customers that own or lease an EV. Eligible customers must own a qualified Level 2 EV charging station, capable of separately tracking EV charging data.  
    • Delmarva Power: Delmarva Power offers a time-of-use (TOU) rate to residential customers who own an EV. 
    • Pepco: Pepco offers a time-of-use (TOU) rate to residential customers who own an EV.

    • Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE): Baltimore Gas and Electric (BGE) offers residential customers an annual credit of $50 after the purchase and installation of a Level 2 EV charging station. To be eligible, residential customers must also charge EVs during off-peak hours.  
    • Delmarva Power: Delmarva Power offers residential customers a $300 rebate for a Level 2 smart EV charging station. Any Delmarva Power customer who lives in a single-family home (either attached or detached) with secure home Wi-Fi (hotspots not sufficient) is eligible to participate. Customers must agree to share charging data with Delmarva Power.

    • DTE Energy: DTE Energy offers a $500 rebate for the installation of a Level 2 EV charging station to qualified residential customers that purchase or lease an electric vehicle (EV) and enroll in the EV TOU rates. More specified eligibility requirements at the link. 
    • Holland Board of Public Works (HBPW): Holland Board of Public Works (HBPW) offers its customers a $300 rebate for non-ENERGY STAR listed and a $325 rebate for ENERGY STAR listed level 2 charges. Residential customers who receive the rebate will be placed on the Electric Vehicle Time of Use Rate (EV TOU) for a minimum of one year. The whole house will be placed on the rate and not just the EV charger. 
    • Presque Isle Electric & Gas Co-Op (PIEG): Presque Isle Electric & Gas Co-Op (PIEG) offers residential customers a $600 rebate for the purchase of an ENERGY STAR qualified Level 2 EV charging station.

    • Xcel Energy: Xcel Energy offers two time-of-use (TOU) rate options for residential customers that own an EV. The EV Accelerate at Home rate requires customers to choose an eligible, separately metered Level 2 charger that Xcel Energy installs and maintains. The Separate Meter rate only requires customers to install a separate meter to measure electricity used for EV charging.  
    • Great River Energy: Great River Energy’s Revolt initiative offers customers the ability to power an EV with 100% wind energy for the lifetime of the vehicle. The program requires no additional cost, however standard or off-peak rates still apply for the electricity used. 
    • Dakota Electric Association (DEA): Dakota Electric Association (DEA) offers a time-of-use (TOU) rate to members with electric vehicles (EVs) enrolled in the ChargeWise program. To be eligible for the TOU rate, a ChargeWise circuit is required. 
    • Connexus Energy: Connexus Energy offers residential customers with EVs a TOU rate. A separate meter is required. 
    • Minnesota Power: Minnesota Power offers a time-of-use (TOU) rate to residential customers with EVs.

    • Connexus Energy: Connexus Energy offers a rebate up to 50% of total project cost or $500 (whichever is less) for qualifying Level 2 (240-volt outlet) EV charger with meter socket installation. Applications must be submitted by December 31, 2023. 
    • Minnesota Power: Minnesota Power offers residential customers a $500 rebate for the purchase of a Level 2 EV charging station. Eligible customers must enroll in the EV TOU rate.

    • CPS Energy: CPS Energy also offers residential customers a $125 bill credit if they agree to charge during off-peak hours. Customers may earn an additional $10 bill credit per month if they limit charging during peak hours to twice a month.

    • Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO): Southwestern Electric Power Company (SWEPCO) offers residential customers a $250 rebate for the installation of an ENERGY STAR certified Level 2 EV charging station. 
    • Entergy: Entergy offers residential customers a $250 rebate for the purchase Level 2 EV charging stations.  
    • Austin Energy: Austin Energy offers residential customers who own an electric vehicle a rebate of 50% of the cost to purchase and install a qualified Level 2 EV charging station, up to $1,200. 
    • United Cooperative Services (UCS): United Cooperative Services (UCS) offers residential customers a rebate of 50% of the cost to install a Level 2 EV charging station, up to $500. Charging equipment must have programmable capability that can be set for delayed charge to avoid charging during peak hours.

    • Green Mountain Power (GMP): Green Mountain Power (GMP) provides residential and business customers rebates of $1,500 for the purchase of a new all-electric vehicle, $750 for the purchase of used EVs, and $500 for the purchase of an electric motorcycle. “If your vehicle plugs in and costs less than $75,000 MSRP, it qualifies.” 
    • Vermont Public Power Supply Authority (VPPSA): Vermont Public Power Supply Authority (VPPSA) member customers are eligible for rebates of up to $1,000 on the purchase of a new all-electric vehicle (EV). Low-income customers may receive an additional $400 rebate for a new EV or PHEV. Offer valid through 2023.  
    • Stowe Electric: Stowe Electric offers customers rebates for the purchase or lease of EVs. New all-electric vehicles are eligible for a rebate up to $750, and income-qualifying customers are eligible for an additional $250. Offer valid through 2023.  
  • Discounted Utility Rate 
    • Burlington Electric Department (BED): Burlington Electric Department (BED) offers a TOU rate to residential customers who own an EV. To qualify, customers must install a WiFi enabled EV charging station. 
  • Charging Infrastructure 
    • Green Mountain Power (GMP): Green Mountain Power (GMP) residential customers are eligible for a free Level 2 EV charging station when they purchase a new or pre-owned plug-in electric vehicle. 
    • Burlington Electric Department (BED): Burlington Electric Department (BED) offers a rebate of up to $900 for the purchase and installation of a qualifying Wifi enabled EV charging stations for customers that have enrolled in BED’s Residential EV Rate. 
    • Vermont Electric Co-op (VEC): Vermont Electric Co-op (VEC) offers residential customers a $250 bill credit for the purchase of a Level 2 EV charging station.

    • Vermont Public Power Supply Authority (VPPSA): Vermont Public Power Supply Authority (VPPSA) offers member customers a $500 rebate for the purchase of a Level 2 EV charging station. To qualify, the EV charging station must be installed for workplace or public use. Offer valid through 2023.

    • Appalachian Power Company: Appalachian Power Company offers residential customers a $100 rebate for the purchase of an ENERGY STAR certified Level 2 EV charging station. 
    • Dominion Energy: Dominion Energy offers residential customers a rebate of $125 for the purchase of a new Level 2 EV charging station. To be eligible, customers must enroll in Dominion Energy’s demand response program. Customers will also receive an annual payment of $40 on the anniversary of their enrollment in the demand response program. 
    • Danville Utilities: Danville Utilities offers residential customers a $200 rebate for the purchase and installation of a Level 2 EV charging station. Eligible applicants must also be enrolled in a time-of-use rate.

    • State of Washington: From August 1, 2021 through July 31, 2023, Washington residents pay no sales tax on the first $20,000 of qualified new EV purchase. As you will see, GEM is specifically listed on eligible vehicles list.  
    • Snohomish County Public Utility District (PUD): Snohomish County Public Utility District (PUD) offers residential customers a $400 rebate, in the form of a bill credit, for the purchase or lease of a new or used EV.

    • Tacoma Public Utilities (TPU): TPU offers residential customers a $400 rebate, in the form of bill credit, for the installation of a Level 2 EV charging station, a smart splitter, or a 240-volt outlet. The maximum credit for installing more than one on the list is $600.  
    • Clark Public Utilities: CPU offers residential customers rebates for the purchase and installation of Level 2 EV charging station. Rebates are available up to $500 for Energy Star certified chargers, and $100 for non-Energy Star certified chargers.  
    • Snohomish Public Utility District (PUD): Snohomish Public Utility District offers residential customers a $500 rebate for the purchase and installation of qualified Level 2 EV charging station.

    • Barron Electric Cooperative (BEC): Barron Electric Cooperative (BEC) offers residential customers rebates for the full cost of a Level 2 EV charging station.  
    • East Central Energy (ECE): East Central Energy (ECE) offers residential customers a $750 rebate to install a Level 2 EV charging station on a time-of-use or off-peak storage electricity rate. 
    • Price Electric Cooperative: Price Electric Cooperative offers residential customers a $500 rebate to customers who purchase and install a Level 2 EV charging station. Incentives are in place through 2023. 
    • Clark Electric Cooperative (CEC): Clark Electric Cooperative (CEC) offers customers a $400 rebate to purchase and install a new Level 2 EV charging station. Rebates are in place through 2023.  
    • Riverland Energy Cooperative (REC): Riverland Energy Cooperative (REC) offers residential customers a $400 rebate to purchase and install a Level 2 EV charging station. Rebates are in place through 2023.

    • RENEW Wisconsin’s EVs for Good: RENEW Wisconsin’s EVs for Good initiative offers grants to nonprofit organizations interested in purchasing an EV and $500 for installing Level 2 or higher EV charging station. The vehicle grant Covers 20% of the cost of a new or used electric vehicle, with a $5,000 maximum amount. Grants may also cover 20% of an electric bicycle or an electric cargo bicycle purchase.
