The HVAC system is fully integrated into the vehicles battery system, meaning you just need to make sure the vehicle is charged to operate it.
The DOMETIC 2,000 W (≈6,824 BTU) DC- powered AC Cools Cab to Low as 62° F Degrees or 34°F Below External Temp**. The temperature at the 3 adjustable vents is even cooler.
**Dependent on external temperature, sun load, vehicle size and humidity.
The vehicle and entire HVAC system is warrantied for 2 years from time of registration.
The highly-efficient AC or heat draws an average of 20%* of battery in four hours on maximum settings.
*Dependent on battery size:
16 kW Li Ion = 16% in 4 hours
8 kW Li Ion or Distance AGM = 24% in 4 hours
All base GEM models are offered with HVAC – e2, e4, e6 and eL XD.
All GEM factory options available except these roof options: panoramic roof, amber light, solar panels, roof rack and ladder rack on the eL XD. Note: Beacon lights are still available on all models and the eL XD L-box with ladder rack.
HVAC is only offered on new GEM vehicles at this time.
GEM’s hard doors with roll up windows can be removed in 10-15 seconds by pulling a pin on the door hinge and lifting upwards.
